Week 14
We are nearing the end of our semester together. As you know, our final essay topic is an argumentative essay. What would be your thesis statement be if the topic was "grades do not measure intelligence or achievement"? In other words, for this week you only need to state your thesis statement in the blog. You can agree or disagree with this topic, but your thesis statement needs to be clear which side you support. See page 147 in the book if you need guidance.

Many people can be achievement in spite of they never got top grades when they was students.
Although many people got good grades, they didn't achievement because being sucessful also depent on the working attitude, interpersonal relationship and good chance.
People usually use grades to qualify the intelligence and achievement of students; however, high grades do not ensure the real success of students in the future.
Although grades can reflect the achievement in the class, they can't answer the achievement in your future jobs.
Even though many people concern that good grades are important for students to achieve, grades are not standards to measure whether they succeed or fail or not.
Even though grade is not an exact measurance of intelligence or achievement, grade must be one of results of achivement.
Despite of the fact that wisdom or effort is not measurable value, people have to make a grade of intelligence or achievement because this help people to make a decision such as hiring and allowing to enter the university.
Some people might think grade is a only standard for our knowledge and ability, but I neglect their position because we can't measure human by visible scale.
Grade is the best way to measure achievement to apply company however grade accurately doesn’t match up to individual qualification so many company require an executive ability than grade.
Even though many people beleive that good grade can tell us our achievement or intelligence, sometimes grade can't measure our effort to study.
Mostly people always admire or adore someone who get a higher grade from their study especially; in fact, I really disagree with this thought as well because the successful or intelligent person in the real world should think out of the box instead.
Every time we get grades for many reasons as school, Toefl test, IQ Test etc, but the grades can not really reflect your personality or social skills; they only give an overview about your specific skills, for example in math or biology; however, people orientate oneself by the grades to decide if you are admit to the university, get the job.
Many people usually use the grades to be a standard of person's intelligence or achievement; however, the grades only can reflect how hard the person prepare the test.
Although some people think people who get high grades are intelligent because they have knowledge more than others, I think grades is just a way for checking how much knowledge people have, not wisdom which is more reflecting about someone's intelligence.
Although many people insist grades can not measure intellegece, grades can be used as the standard to evaluate people’s achievement.
