In some cultures, marriages are arranged by parents or other relatives or with the help of a matchmaker. What are the advantages of that system?

According to mostly people's marriages, they get married because of love. In other way, some people get married because either their parents or others arrange that. In my opinion, there are some advantages from that situation as well. First of all, a future bride or groom who comes from parents’ suggestion has been scanned or known her/his personality or background before. It helps to assure that she or he is a good person. For example, our parents always introduce their closed friends’ children to us because they have actually known them for a long time. They know who is good or not. In addition, many people are also interested in using matchmaker services. It may help them find someone who has the criteria which they are looking for. However, not everyone can meet a perfect guy from those arrangements. For me, my marriage should be once in my life, so I have to make the best decision by myself. Anyway, I will choose someone I love and love me either.
Marriages which are arranged by parents is one of the traditions of old China. Although this tradition has almost disappeared nowadays, it still has some advantages. First, people who want to get married do not need to spend time making a girl friend or a boy friend. It would take a lot of time to understand your lover and to have a date with him or her every weekend. Therefore a marriage arranged by parents or a matchmaker might be an easy way for some people. In addition, this system could avoid some problems between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. That is a common problem in Chinese family. By the system, parents can choose their daughter-in-law they appreciate.
In the case of my country, most of people get married with whom they love. On the other hand some of people get married with whom their parents or relatives introduce to them. Moreover sometimes they depend on the matchmaker company. Their are some adventages. Parents and relatives are always want to them be happy. Therefore they try to introduce to them a good person. It is very reliable. Also the matchmaker company always arrange the person who is very similar to them. However even though these advantages, I think love and belief are most important thing in marriages.

Another advantage that arranged marriage is, it could prevent some domestic problems, such as wife can not get along with their father-in-law or mother-in-law. On the other hand, matchmaker is another way to find a mate. Matchmaker now is getting more popular in these days. The advantage is to find a person that has more common interests or habits with you. To sum up, either arranged marriage or uses a matchmaker is both good ways to looking for a right person for us. However, the most important thing is that there is "love" between two people.

The topic of marriage arrangement/ matchmaker is very interesting to me.These days, I truly believe that if you are young or just graduate from college, your parent or your friend will not push you to get marry. On the other hand, if you are over 30 and don’t have any stable relationship, then people around you will start worrying. Everyone will try to hook you up with some one they know or they think might fit you. Your parents might even hire some “personal” like matchmaker to help you.Creating some “opportunity” or a little “help” in case you are too shy to make your own move. If you don’t want to let your parents or relatives to decide who you want to marry, then you better hurry up or show your motivation to find your own life partner. Because for them “now it is open season, let’s see who can find it first!”

Our ancestors consider that marriage is not only meeting two people but also meeting two families. For that reason, many couples were already engaged to marry by parents in childhood. When parents or other relatives recommend someone as a wife or husband, they consider situation of her or his family such as their wealth, family members and home environment. They decide the person in the family has a similar situation with their family.

For example, in traditional Korean society, there had been early marriage system for young boy which is called “Child bridegroom” If parents decide theirs son to marry, the young boy should get marry with adult woman. That was a young boy’s destiny. Accordingly, there have been many episodes even though today’s marriage systems have been totally changed. However, we can find out some advantages of passive marriage systems. First of all, bridegroom and bride can meet suitable marriage partner each other in view of two families’ environments. We can see many divorced couples because of difference of backgrounds. On the other hand, we don’t worry about contemporary “Romeo and Juliet” story in this passive marriage system. In addition, we can save time and money to find our marriage partner. If we meet someone naturally, it needs much time to get marry. However, if we use matchmaker, we can save our time and effort to find proper partner. Therefore, passive marriage systems have some advantages like above. If you already exhausted to look for your partner, using passive marriage systems are good way for you.

Many people wasted their time to go after a wrong person and eventually they get hurt. To sum up, marriages arranged by parents or other relatives or with the help of a matchmaker also have some advantages such as getting good relationship with you family and saving your time. You don’t need to insist on loving marriage.
In my country, many people’s marriages are arranged by parents. Even though they had a boyfriend when they studied in the university, they usually broke up when they graduated because they lived or found a job in different cities. After they work, their parents began to arrange they date with different people who they thought were good people. In addition other relatives would invite some people. They usually high on do these activities. Parents usually like their children marry with their friends’ children because they know their background and personality. I think marriages arranging by parents are the advantages of that system because all of the parents want to give the best thing to their children.
In korea, we have some couple who was arranged by matchmakers or parents. It is common style in Korea, but also this is common to get married to real lover. Anyway, there are some advantages to get married to someone who is arranged by someone. First, they know each other famlily or financial status. Usually, in this case, they concentrate on financial status to find someone who gonna be their wife or husband. So, they can find someone who suit their wanted. In addition, the process which is going to be getting married will be so fast because they meet for just marriage by matchmakers or parents, so if someone want to get married fast they can meet one through this process. For me, I want to meet my real lover. It couldn't be a real marrige to meet someone by arrangement.
